Before embarking down the "porting" road, which is often the same as "making
old code work", you should very seriously consider do a full redesign and
rewrite. There are vast differences between VB3 and VB6, and you will
almost certainly see great benefits by taking advantage of the new controls
and language elements available in VB6.
Rather than just translate, line by line, the old code, you should determine
what the application does and why it does it, and then design and write a
new application to do the same thing (and more).
