Help!!! Type mismatch error !!! while install a VB6 appl. on a NT 4 SP4 mashine

Hello folks,

I try to install a Vb 6 (german) Appl. (created with setup wiz.) on a
Windows Nt4 Sp3 (english) the
Mashine hang's with the error message " Type mismatch error".

Same error here :

Vb6 italian on a win 95 english.

Any hints ?

did you recompile the setup1.vbp or did you just use the exe version?

I had the same problem and took me quite a while to find out.
Edit the SETUP.LST file.
You most certainly will find a line like this:

[IconGroups]
Group0=SOS-23VRS
PrivateGroup0=Falsch
Parent0=$(Programs)

An English operating system won't understand "falsch" or "wahr".
If you replace "falsch" with 0 and "wahr" with -1 , it will work just fine.
