I have a standalone VB 6 application and am getting this error:

Automation error
The application called an interface that was marshalled for a different
thread.

I am not really creating any threads. I used spy++ and saw a few other
threads in my process though. I am not sure what is going on. Another
interesting thing is that this does not happen always.

By "standalone" I guess you mean this isn't using IIS/ASP or COM+, and that
it isn't using any ActiveX EXE components

Does it use any Win32 APIs? Some of those, if you're not careful, can
result in a separate thread being created
