To Whom it may concern,

I own Visual Basic 4 and get the following error when I open the Tools >
Custom Controls menu. "Object server not correctly registered (Error 336)"
I've been trying to fix this problem for quite some time. I'm running
Windows 95. A speedy response would be greatly appreciated.

If you have installed VB5 CCE then Read the First Page of the ReadME.doc
file It tell how to get rid of this. If you have not then you have deleted
some controls that were registered in your system.

A way to check is to load VB4 then add every custom control that you have
and the controls that do not load are the offending parties. I had 26 bad
controls and have reduced it to 7. Some say they are missing when you open
the cusom control dialog again and some point to programs that I
deleted...without uninstalling....

How to clear all of these out of the registry I am not quite sure....Does
any one else know?

Also try to unregister the offending ocx/vbx (regsvr32 /u XXXXXX.ocx) then
re-register the control
