Hi everyone!!

I really don't know what to do more...help!!
I work in a program that was create in an older version of VB (I have
VB6 and I think that it's been create with VB5).

I'm able to "Start with full compile", no problem, but when I try to
make the EXE, I have this error when the "Writing EXE" step is
beginning: "License information for this component not found. You do
not have an appropriate license to use this functionnality in the
design environment."

I tried many things to solve to problem:
-VB6CLI.EXE
-VB5cli.exe
-re-install VB6
-re- register the VB's DLL and OCX with regsvr32 :
COMCTL32.OCX, anibtn32.ocx, Gauge32.ocx, graph32.ocx, keysta32.ocx,
msoutl32.ocx, Spin32.ocx, dbgrid32.ocx, threed32.ocx, grid32.ocx,
msmapi32.ocx, mswless.ocx, xceedzip.dll, oledb32.dll, prodat.dll,
lrndat.dll, entdat.dll, olemsg.dll and threed.vbx.

-re-install KEA ( Attachmate that I use )

I also use thrid-party Sheridan controls but I have no problem to put
those controls on a new form so I supposed that it isn't the
problem...

I would be very grateful if someone has solution or suggestions!!

Hi Chantal,
I am not exactly sure but you could try...
Project > Project Properties > Make Tab > uncheck Remove information about
unused ActiveX controls

Hope this helps

Hi,

Look on your VB6 CD-ROM. There is a folder called Tools that contains these
controls that were automatically installed for VB5. These are not supported
in VB6, but may be used. Simply follow the instructions in that folder for
installation, registration and licensing.
