I was told to delete my old version of java (had problems with a
virus/malware) and reinstally the new version 6, update 12. I can nolonger
got o the secunia.com website and scan my computer for programs that need
updating. I get this message when I attempt to do so:

a window box that says warning-security with the follwing message: publisher
cannot be verified by a trusted source. Code will be treated as unsigned,
NAME: SecuniaSoftwareInspector: sun.security.validatorexception: PKIX
pathvalidation failed: java.security.cert.certpathvalidatorexception: Must
specify the location of an OCSP responder

I push ok and them this comes up:

There might be problems loading the java applet in your browser. If your
sure that your computer has java 1.6x or later and functional then press ok
to proceed

I push ok and I can't get anywhere with the scan.
I have contacted java and secunia with not much help. They say that they
have ran everything on their computer and don't end up with the same result
as I do. Secunia had even suggeted that my windows/ir was blocking java but I
have cehcked all the correct boxes and find that nothing should be preventing
this program from running.

I really need to figure this out! I don't know if I deleted something
additional that I shouldn't of of If i needed to keep my older version of
java as some programs may have needed that specif version to run?!? just
something I read on the secunia web site.

Please help or send me in the right direction!!! If you need me to post a
HJT I can.
