Just thought I'd let you know that I can confirm this problem -- I have =
a control on my site that uses AsyncRead to get pictures, but never =
downloads them. The control worked fine in VB's design environment, but =
in the browser -- no such luck.

I recently installed IE 4 Developer Preview on one of my machines.

Now, when I access a page with my ActiveX Control, everything is great.
Great that is until my program tries to load a URL through the AsyncRead
functions. The problem is that it never gets a completion event. The
stuff NEVER gets downloaded!
I have noticed that IE 4 has a lot of problems grabbing just pictures =
off
the Internet and this is all my control is doing.

You can see it at http://www.activegames.com/activex/shufflepuzzle.

Thank you for anyone who can help! I really appreciate it! If this is
just a problem with IE4 PPR, no big deal. I just hope it works in Beta =
1
and the final release <g>

Folks, let us remember that IE4 is still a very beta release. These type
of issues need to be reported to MS as well as just worked around.
