How to get USMT 4 with AIK

I'm not pleased with the way Microsoft has handled USMT 4.0. In one stroke,
something that used to be easy is now impossibly more difficult. We have a
tool that relies on USMT. We used to check the system for USMT 3.0.1 and if
it wasn't there the tool would take them to the web site for USMT 3.0.1
download and let them install it before running the tool. That was possible
because USMT itself is fairly small. Now USMT 4.0 has been incorporated into
AIK, a multi-GB monster. So to use our little tool Microsoft is asking
people to install the AIK monstrosity. In between the space requirement and
the download time, I doubt many people would bother at all. All we need is
USMT 4.0, not the rest of AIK. If USMT 4.0 wasn't a requirement for Win7
we'd say the heck with it, we'll stay with 3.0.1. But Microsoft is forcing
our hands, making us scratch our heads because Win7 needs USMT 4. Instead of
making our jobs easier MS has made it far more difficult. I'm looking for
alternatives to downloading AIK. Such as, the permission for us to
redistribute USMT 4. That way people won't have to install AIK. Better yet,
how an existing site where USMT 4 can be downloaded from, much like 3.0.1.
Or any other suggestions that you might have. Anything, anything other than
downloading 1.7 gigs of AIK and using up a huge portion of disk space.

Remember, rewriting our tool to use something OTHER than USMT is NOT an
option. Let's see if anyone can help us out of this latest MS mess. Thanks.
