Please Help!!!

I have a setup at the moment consisting of a SKY digital box, and an Wintv
HVR-3000 box.

This is all connected and working OK until I actually hit the info button on
my MCE remote, the listings are incorrect to the channel listing i have got.

My box location is in the east midlands however i am getting a guide listing
for only for SKY Digital BBC W Mids / ITV Central.

All movies are mixed up I am unable to set guide to match channels as there
is no way of changing numbers.

Anyone else with the same issues???

The guide listings should match your post code although sometimes this mapping is a bit out & what
you regard as your regional TV station may not be what Sky think.. What BBC1 local station do you
receive on 979 & 980? What ITV1 local station do you receive on 103 & 993?

The movie channels are messed up at present as Sky just went through a process of shuffling them
about & renaming them. The names are correct now in the guide but the numbers are wrong. You should
report this via this web site http://www.microsoft.com/uk/windowsxp/mediacenter/epg.aspx

The listings are not run & updated by the BBC. They are managed by a company called Broadcasting
Dataservices http://www.bds.tv/ They were indeed part of the BBC but were privatised several years
ago.

The errors in the EPG are mostly the fault of Microsoft. Firstly with the incredibly complicated EPG
in Media Center with thousands of possible individual listings. Secondly the fact that Microsoft
will not pay for some channel listings & finally the fact that they don't communicate properly with
the guide supplier to get errors fixed in a timely fashion.

I have had the same problem with windows 7 media centre. there is no data
for BBC1 East midlands in the guide and when media centre detects the
channel, it displays it as unknown, there is only bbc1 midlands on the list
