Oh, the embarrassment. I've worked out what it was. I shoudl ahve realised
the common factor - BBC channels. When I tried to watch those channels using
the Hauppauge TV viewer, I found that all the channels on the same multiplex
(BBC1, BBC2, BBC News Channel, CBBC) were dead. And my transmitter had its
digital switchover recently - I'd forgotten about it because I'm away from
home at the moment, accessing my PC by LogMeIn.
Having retuned WMC, normal service has been resumed.
However I've got the problem that the retune has stopped some channels (eg
ITV1) from displaying in the Guide. I fixed this before, ages ago, but I
can't remember how I did it.
