I'm presently trying to solve the puzzle of why some messages posted to
the MS server do not appear, and why some messages posted to the
test.here group from other newsservers do propagate to the MS newsserver
while others do not.

Ah! You've noticed too!

That is *really* good to hear, Mike! :)

You obviously know about computers - I know little about them, but I do
know about people.

Good luck with your research. If I can help in any way, please ask.

At a guess, it could be interference by the bad guys!

You are 'unreal' Peter Foldes.

The truth *will* out - of that I promise!

Two of the lost messages were replies to your Stormfront, White Pride,
BNP, Mike Easter questions. I'll let you dig them up somewhere else,
since they never got to the MS newsserver you use here.

You might try GG, I haven't looked there. They appear on several
newsservers I use, individual, eternal-september, usenet-news and most
likely will appear on GG as well. The one that appears to be completely
lost is the one I posted to the MS newsserver, but it was 'artificially'
cited by another subsequent message in the same thread.

I suspect the MS server is misconfigured and its misconfiguration
clashes with a misconfiguration of OE. OE'S misconfiguration leads to
it handling the References line improperly. That creates a 'line too
long' situation which some newsserver error on and refuse to accept the
message.

Some other newsservers ignore the line too long problem. Perhaps the MS
newsserver accepts the message but then drops it on the floor because it
doesn't properly fit some spool configuration or something.

Mike,

It's late here and I'm of to my bed, but a thought for you to ponder.

Is there *any* possibility that this 'test.here' group has nothing
whatsoever to do with the real Microsoft server?

A 'spoof'?

'night! ;)
