how do we install the Microsoft iSNS Server 3.0 on Windows Server 2003
x64 (64-bit)?
as instructed by Jose Baretto on his good and useful blog, i tried to
install iSNS 3.0 on Windows Server 2003 x64 using the x86 installer.
Jose Barreto's Blog : The Basics of Windows Server 2008 Storage
Explorer
2.1 – iSCSI without iSNS

If you are running an x64 edition of Windows Server 2003, you should
download and install the x86 version of the iSNS server.
[...]
to my surprise, i got an error message from the installer. it
complained about being run on a 64-bit platform.
Installation cannot continue:
You are attempting to install the 32-bit version of this program on a
64-bit version of Windows. Please use the native 64-bit version.
have a nice evening,
