I am runnning SQL Server Express 2005 on a Win 2003 Server with .NET
framework 2.0 and ASP.NET.

I have been surfing the net for weeks and cannot find a fix for the
subject problem. This is the exception detail:

System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: TCP Provider: An existing
connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

I have no problem connecting to the local host, which is the
development server.

I am relatively new to SQL Server development so I may be missing
something real easy. In a few of the web posts that I have found the
contributors reflect that the problem is unique to .NET framework 2.0
and is not a problem in 1.0.

I just installed SP1 to .NET framework 2.0 and that didn't help
either. There also seems to be a number of different solutions listed
in the newsgroups to this and I have tried the ones that seemed to
parallel my situation to no avail.

Thanks for your assistance!
