Hi all,

reading in this article (http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/
sql/2000/maintain/failclus.mspx), more specifically the heading
'Memory Configuration' basically states that if both nodes of a multi-
instance cluster have 16GB of memory and 1 instance running per node,
the instances should be capped at about 45% of the servers available
memory (the article explains it a lot better than I just did). My
question, that I so far have been unable to find an answer to is: is
this behavior the same in SQL server 2005, or is 2005 smarter when it
comes to handling a instance failover scenario and hence is capable of
changing memory allocation on the fly?
