Hi all,

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-
US;247070 describes a problem with Enterprise Manager
where long running view queries suffer from a timeout. I
am experiencing exactly this problem, not only in
Enterprise Manager, but from an Access script. Has this
been fixed since the above Problem Report does anyone know?

Enterprise Manager Tools->Options->Advanced-Query Time-out
seems to have no effect at all.

ADO = 2.60.6526.2
DMO = 8.00.02
ODBC = 03.52.0000

Windows 98 SE

TIA,

That option contols EM, not Access, so it's not strange that you
see any effect there.

To control the timeout from Access, set the timeout property which I
seem to recall is on the Connection object.
