HI. I'm running standard traces and one of the data columns i want is the DATABASE NAME. When i run the trace the DATABASE NAME is comes out blank. I executed some simple SELECT stmts to make sure i am accessing some databases and still no DATABASE NAME appears in the trace. i have NO filters set to cause this.

can someone help me here?

thanks,

Database Name only shows up for a certain nuber of events (mainly security
events if I recall) You need to use database id which will show up for
selects etc. You can find the id of a database using select db_id('database
name') or by looking in master.dbo.sysdatabases
