Ken, I am not aware of any third party software that indexes SQL Server data
and I doubt one exists. SQL Server can better manage it's indexes. Are you
looking for indexing text data for textual searches? Did you consider
Full-Text search feature?

Can 3rd party indexing software dramatically increase
query performance? If so, does anyone have any
suggestions for product choices?

Thanks Vyas. I am only aware of Omnidex because we sue it on our IMAGE
databases running on the hp 3000 platform. it is awesome, but very
expensive.

Ken,

Good discussion all. As Narayana stated, SQL manages its own indexes for
the data in the tables. Let me know if you want me to further research the
topic.
