Does anybody know of any tools that will compare two databases and
report the differences?

Thanks

A free, though not terribly elegant solution, is to generate SQL scripts
using the same options for the 2 databases and then run WinDiff against the
resulting files. If the differences are fairly minor it isn't too bad, but
as the differences multiply it gets unwieldy real fast. You can specify
small subsets of the database to generate the scripts for in order to
minimize the differences as well.

Try SQL-Compare from http://www.red-gate.com. I use it and it's pretty
tight.

It's freeware unless you want to use advanced features
