Hi all !

I would like to set the default network library used upon a client
connection on a large number on clients where only the MDAC is installed.

I know the default network library can be easily set using the Client
Network Utility installe with the client utilities of SQL Server 7.0 / 2000,
but that utility is not installed on the client machines: only MDAC

Is there a way to set the default network library/protocol using a VBScript
or .REG file so that this can be done silently on a large number of clients
?

Yes, create a REG file by exporting all values from
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSSQLServer\Client\ConnectTo
