Hi

I was attempting to installing SQL V7 onto what I was lead to believe was a
200MHz Cyrix 686 system yesterday when the installer halted and the
notification that a 586 (Pentium class I guess) or higher is needed. The
chip is definately a Cyrix 686 but NT is reporting this as a 486
CyrixInstead chip (from NT Diags)

Question.

Is it time to throw the old server in the bin or is there a safe & reliable
workaround to enable the installation of SQL 7 on this machine?

Regards
