Unable to run 2008 R2 setup.exe

I'm getting this error;
"This SQL Server Setup media is not supported on a X64 system" in a little
pop-up

when trying to run setup.exe in the root of the disk.

I'm running a fresh install of Windows Server 2008 R2 standard
Trying to install SQL Server 2008 R2 web

both were downloaded as ISOs from MSDN

Solved. Although the disk was accessible it needs to be locally mounted.
Error was just misleading.
