All your help will be greatly appreciated.

I recently installed the evaluation version of MS SQL 7 and everything went well. The services started properly and so forth. Then, I set myself to use DTS to import an Access files and everything went properly until at the very end when I clicked "Finish" it gave me the error: "Could not create an instance of the DTS package." (with a window called "Initialize COM" My Access file normally works perfectly and does not have any bugs. Also, I have plently of space on the hard drives.

I hope to hear of you soon as I've tried practically everything I can imagine.

thanks in advance,
Omid

Check the version of COMCAT.DLL in the system directory. If it's 5.0 then
that may be your problem. Try replacing it with 4.71 to see if that fixes
your problem.

Omid,

DTS is great tool to upgrade your data from Access but if you had any
indexes, primary keys, etc. DTS will not move them over. Therefore, it is
better that you use Upsizing wizard.
