SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition with all databases backup/restore from SQL
Server 2000. Everytime I go to Security -> Logins -> Propertities of any
account -> User Mapping, a po-pup says "one or more databases are
inaccessible and will not be displayed". How can I get rid off the po-pups?
I checked all db and there is no orpaned users, is there anything else I need
to check? thanks in advance for anyone's help.

Hi Li,

That means that one or more databases are not accessible, perhaps they are
offline, a mirrored, restoring, suspect or something like that. You could see
the database status by using Object Explorer or by running this

select name, state_desc from sys.databases

You can change the database status or simply ignore the message on the User
Mapping page.

Hope this helps,

that's it, I do have a couple databases are offline - but I thought only the
users from offline db will get those messages not others. Thank you so much!

Hello,

http://www.ureader.com/msg/116017816.aspx contains a recent discussion
between Tibor Karaszi and a poster on a similar problem. Notice that this
may be caused by problems with the log file. Also, there can be a 'false'
RECOVERY_PENDING, but he did not (nor do I) know why.
