using link from email

I have reports that have a link in them that will take them to a url. These
reports can be emailed or viewed thru the report manager. But, from the
report manager, if the link is used then the url opens in the same window and
report manager is no longer available. If I use the 'javascript:void'
technique, the report will open in the second window when opened from report
manager.

But, now comes the tricky part. The same report could be emailed to someone
(using Outlook) and if they tried the link, it would fail after to warnings.
It turns out to be the 'javascript:void' that is causing the problem.

My question to the group is if anyone else has/had this issue and what, if
any, work around is there to allow a new window from both email (Outlook) and
report manager? I am relatively new to SSRS so please explain your response.
