Most Logical question.
My understanding is it is not possible.
May be someone from Microsoft can confirm and explain why the hell not...

SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services SP1 allows the style of the HTML Viewer
toolbar to be modified through a style sheet. See

for more information

I did see in the SP1 documentation about Style Sheet to modify Home Page
Toolbar. Could not locate any details though.
Could you please point to how to do this (which Style Sheet etc.) and how
much you can customize. Can you add Company Logo etc.

Thanks

You can write you're own report viewer.

I'm writing one with a date/time picker

This area is not documented very well. The file you need to look at is
...\Microsoft SQL
Server\MSSQL\ReportingServices\ReportManager\Styles\ReportingServices.css.
In this file you can specify a new image. If you want to change the
reporting services site name displayed in Report Manager you will need to
modify that on Report Manager's site settings page.

I must be overlooking something. I don't see where to define images in the
CSS file.

I would appreciate if someone could post how to customize home page in a
sort of white paper or similar form.
I would think it is quite natural when implementing RS to give the reports
portal the company look and feel. Are there are other best practices
(besides customizing Home page) to give RS a local company feel. Probably
there are if you choose to develop stuff yourself.
With minimal portal development, what can be done to give users a good
Reporting Home Page.
Some documentation / response from Microsoft would be highly appreciated and
anticipated....

Thanks

Was this issue ever resolved? I see where Bruce references the .CSS file
but I don't see anywhere in the file where the existing "out of the box" icon
is referenced or how to change it. Can anyone from Microsoft help out on
this issue? Just a snippet of sample code would be sufficient, if it's not
documented somehwere.
thanks,
