I have multiple reports created via SSRS 2008. I set up subscriptions
which are sent via email and in MHTML format. When my boss tries to
view these reports via his iPhone (I don't have one so I can't test),
the reports either don't appear or they get cut off. Has anyone else
encountered this error and if so, do you know of a fix?

Thanks,
Matt

I don't know about the browsing support but it wouldn't surprise me if there
was a problem with the IPhone support for mhtml. Doing some searches that
seems to be the case. However, it seems like it does support other formats.
I suggest PDF. Give that a try and see how it goes for your boss.

We've just gone to iPhones and have seen the same issue. MHTML formatted
exports don't show the entire report. You can scroll left and right within
the report body, but you can't scroll down. The header and footer are
displayed and the body is scrunched between with no way to expand. We really
like the embedded report for easy display to users within Outlook and would
like to option of also attaching a pdf to the same email -- which I don't
believe is an option.

I'm not an owner of the iPhone (yet!) but I do know there is an Office
like application you can get that would also provide a feasible
option; you could simply send the report as excel format and he can
view them in the app. Think it may be called QuickOffice.

What version of Excel is the reporting services Excel export?
When I receive report in Excel format on my iPhone, I can not open it. It
says "The document can't be viewed. The file format is invalid" when I try to
open the attachment.
When I save the attachment on my computer and look at properties, for the
filetype, it says "Micorsoft Office Excel 97-2003 worksheet (.xls)"
If I open the excel file, make a small change, save and email again, I can
open that file in iPhone.
What can I do so that our users can open Excel format reports in iPhone?

We are experiencing the exact same issue with SSRS Excel attachments on the
iPhone. Were you ever able to find a solution?
