Replication probelm: Error 14294 when creating publication

I'm trying to do replication on the Pubs database using the wizard. When I
press finish and the wizard gets to the creating publication stage a
"Error 14294: Supply either @job_id or @job_name to identify the job. and I
can't go any further. Any ideas?

Have you previously created and removed a publication? If so, this may be
the result of an "unclean" removal of the publication. Run sp_who and see
if there are any connections to your distribution database. Try removing
replication again, then recreating it. This will probably solve your
problem. If not, let me know.
