Error No: 8144 :Too many arguments were supplied for procedure sp_MSenumdeletesmetadata

My problem relates to the replication of two SQL databases located
at two different places.
I configured the merge replication. Making one as publisher and the
other as the subscriber, with snapshot replication. It went fine for 2
months.
My databases are live databases, where people will be entering
records at both the places.
Suddenly one fine day (2 days back) I got the the following error
"The process could not enumerate deletions at the subscriber."
When I saw the error details, it has the following.
"Error No: 8144
Too many arguments were supplied for procedure sp_MSenumdeletesmetadata."
I tried to remove the subscription and reconfigure it.
After reconfiguring, if I add records at publisher it is getting
replicated. But if I add at the subscriber it is giving the
same error.
Can someone give me the solution for the above problem.

The problem got solved.
It is due to the mismatch of the service packs installed on
the publisher and subscriber.
