Replication - Configure Distribution Wizard - Error 21670

Hello-

I'm trying to configure a 2005 SQL server to be a publisher that uses
another server as the distributor. When I go through the screens in
the wizard it asks me for the administrative password. When I type
that in correctly it says "can't connect with the specified password
error 21670"

Normally I'd say I have the wrong password... but I configure my
machine as a publisher to the remote distributor and the password works
just fine.

Does anybody have an idea what could possibly be wrong? We just built
the server I'm trying to configure as the publisher yesterday.
