Hi,

I have three servers all running Server 2008 and SQL 2008.

Primary - Part of a Windows Server 2003 Domain
Mirror - Standalone server on workgroup
Witness - Standalone server on workgroup

I have gone through the Mirror Security Configuration wizard and
successfully connected to each server as I've added TCP 1434; UDP 1433; TCP
5022 and UDP 5022. However, When I click start mirroring I get this error in
Event ID:

Database mirroring connection error 4 'An error occurred while receiving
data: '10054(failed to retrieve text for this error. Reason: 15105)'.' for
'TCP://<server>:5022/

What could be the issue? I can telnet to port 5022.

Can you advise what the issue could be please?

Thanks

Chris

Attach the Profiler on the other server (the one that closes the connection)
and monitor for the 'Broker/Broker: Connection' and 'Security Audit/Audit
Broker Login' events (make sure to select all columns). It should trace an
event explaining why it closes the connection.

There might be some issues which disrupt SQL database BAK files while migrate it to another SQL Server. Know more about it and how to resolve it: - http://www.sqlrecoverysoftware.net/blog/sql-error-15105.html
