Does anyone know if BCP is part of the Client Utilites or the actual SQL
Server?

I want to deploy BCP.exe standalone on a machine to utilize BCP's
capabilites but I am not installing the SQL Server on this box.

MACHINE 1 will use BCP to insert records into the database on MACHINE 2.

Does anyone know if there are licensing issues here or how this could work?

Thanks

It's installed with the client utilities.
All you have to do is copy bcp.exe to the machine - should be in the
toolsabinn\ folder

BCP utility is part of Client utilities and it do not require a additional
license if you already have client access license for the client utilities
installed.

Please go to the link below and you can install only bcp from the pack. Search for bcp Utility under
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Command Line Utilities
