Please help me understand...

I am using Radatsoft cube browser control in an ASP.net web application, my
web server is in the DMZ and my SQL(OLAP) server is behind the firewall...

when connecting I provide a connection string that uses a UserName/Password
pair... the User is a Windows users configured on the SQL (OLAP) box and
given access to the cube... when the page renders and tries to connect it
errors out saying in can't connect with domain/Computer$ ... it seems to
completly ignore the userName/Password string I supply... If it is using
windows authentication and ignoring the UserName and password then should it
say it's trying to connect with "Network Service" the default user for an
asp.net application (yes it is the user set up in the app pool for the site)

what is the correct way to configure an ASP.NET application to talk to an
SQL(OLAP) server?

thanks
Steve

Take a look at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc917711.aspx which
details setting up Analysis Services 2005 to work over HTTP (this is for
Win2K3, WinXP details are available here
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc917712.aspx). Be careful to
ensure that you configure security so as to not open your analysis server up
to hackers, though.
