Can someone help me with this one?
I have a SQL SERVER 7 system running just fine.
Both the database server and OLAP services are installed together on a
single machine.
Can I upgrade JUST the OLAP services component to SQL SERVER 2000?
So, I want to run the SQL SERVER 7 database and the SQL SERVER 2000 OLAP
services
together on the same machine.
I think this is possible, sine the two components are completely seperated
in SQL SERVER 7.
But is this really possible? Would it be save to upgrade like this?
Has anyone got some experience with this?

It's not a license issue.
We have a SQL server 7 database running that we don't want to upgrade
('political issue')
However, we are very much interested in upgrading the OLAP services.
We really like to use some of the new features in analysis services.
