Versioning Analysis Services (and Reporting Services) projects

I've been requested by a customer to provide versioning for an Analysis
Services objects (DSV, Cubes, Dimensions,...) and for the reports based on
this Analysis project but, as far as I know, versioning is only possible with
Integration Services, where it pertains to the Package properties
(VersionMajor.VersionMinor.VersionBuild).
One of the reasons mentionned by the customer about versioning is "When
business users complain about some aspect of a Analysis Services solution or
about a report, we want them to have acces to the last two versions of a same
object to see the difference(s) by themself and to give us feedback about the
changes". (not that stupid after all...)
Does anybody knows about a "solution" allowing versionning of Analysis
Services and Reporting Services objects?
As BI developer, I've just a basic knowledge of VB and I'm using BIDS
(boosted with BIDS Helper) for developing my BI projects.
