HideMemberIf still not working in AS 2008?

Hi all,
I've found some posts that this feature is not working (unless applied onto
leaf levels) in 2005, and now I'm trying to get it working on 2008 and it
seems it's still now working? Really? This used to work under AS 2000 :(

I have Country->Region->City hierarchy and have set HideMemberIf on Region.
I've tried both ParentName, OnlyChildWithParentName and NoName and it
simply doesn't work (Of courseI've adjusted the named query accordingly, to
return Country and null respectively) .

Am I doing something wrong or is this bug lingering for few years now?
