Does anybody know where i can find "Microsoft Embedded SQL for COBOL
Programmer's Reference" or "Microsoft Embedded SQL for COBOL Programmer's
Toolkit" ?

I have Microsoft COBOL 5.0 and MicroFocus COBOL 3.4 and would like to access
SQL databases from COBOL.

I've tried eBay, Amazon, Google etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Tony

I have no idea where you can find it, but there is probably a good reason
why you can't: this product is a dead-end, and you cannot use all
functionality in SQL Server with it. The only reason to use embedded SQL
with SQL Server is because you are working with a legacy product.

I am working on enhancement on an application written in COBOL and Visual Basic. I have MS COBOL v5.0 and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 with me. To execute SQL statements inside the COBOL code I have learnt that I need to have Embedded SQL Toolkit for COBOL? How do I get it and what need to be done to compile my code?

Please help.

Unfortunately, I cannot find this and see notice that it has been
discontinued. So, it does not sound good for your project. As you can see
at the bottom of this link:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/103226

You might find some help at one of these sites, but no guarantees. I
believe MicroFocus may have been the original source of the toolkit. At
least, you can check with them.

Hope that something helps,
