MSDE SP3 Install Crashed Failed Set File Security

Hi,
i just installed a MSDE SQL Server 2000 Instance. ( SQLRUN01.msi)
I logged in as the local Administrator and also try to log in as the Network Admin.
Then i try to istall the MS SQL Server 2000 SP3. Start
ger_sql2desksp3. then at c:\sql2kksp3\msde i execute following

setup /upgradesp sqlrun DISABLENETWORKPROTOCOOLS=0 /L*c v:\msde_sp3.log

The Installation of SP3 stopt with

"Starting Custom Action SetFileAndRegACLs()
Failed to set file security"
and the bad think is i even cant start the SQL Server AGENT because the Error Massage "The Dependency Service isn`t installed or mark for delete"
Can you please help me what went wrong ?

Hi Andrea,

thank you very much for the tip it wotk perfect.
Maybe here a short for all:
Because we are having a Merge Replikation we have to start
the SQLServer and SQL Agent Service with a seperate user
and not as difault with the local User.
But it seams that the SP3 for MSDE need this user. So i
changed it fort installation and it work :-).

What are your experience with SP3 on Merge Replication.
Can i try to update your publisher from SP3 to SP3?
Does i have any Problems while running SP2 on the pblisher
and SP3 at the subscriber?
