I get a DTS Designer Error (The system cannot find the
file specified) whenever I open DTS Designer to create or
edit a package, and the task toolbar/box is empty.
Appears as though some .dll is missing or unregistered.
It was working fine, but not now. Anyone experienced
this and know how to fix it?

Thanks Allan. I believe I had seen that article. My
packages were all created with SQL Server 2000, and they
still open and appear to run fine. The problem is with
the Designer. It's missing the Task Controls--so I can't
build anything new. The connection conrols are there,
just not the task controls.

Thanks again, Allan. I had already done this with
several of the .dlls. The ones I had not yet re-
registered were

sqlresld.dll
axscphst.dll
custtask.dll
sqlunirl.dll

I did. No luck. I get the DllRegisterServer entry point
not found error when trying to register

sqlunirl.dll
sqlresld.dll
dtswiz.dll

I successfully registered

repldts.dll
dtsffile.dll
dtspkg.dll
dtspump.dll
dtsui.dll
semdts.dll
axscphst.dll
custtask.dll

Any more thoughts? One of the DBA's here says that she
has had this happen before and that replacing the whole
directory with someone's working directory always solved
it for them. Haven't tried that yet.
