Here's the skinny:

I am getting ready to teach dimensional modeling and business requirments
gathering for a Data Warehouse Project.

What I need though is some readily available sample OLTP data. I was
hoping for data that meets the following restrictions..

1. Dimensions easily added to (Supporting SCD Type I and Type II)

2. Two different source systems (To demonstrate ECTL cleansing and
transformation)

The easist way to do this would be use existing OLTP data, but I don't
have anything that meets those requirements.

Does anyone here have any ideas? Perhaps a website thats got something?
Maybe a public domain of statistics?

Thoughts? Ideas?

Anything you can suggest would be great!

You really need to use the OLTP data you are planning on using for your
project. If there is not any, how can you create a warehouse? Use the DTS
wizard and import some of your data from the two sources into SQL Server.
You will understand the process much better that way plus have a better
understanding of the data issues you will be facing. The Foodmart example
for OLAP will be useful but does not have OLTP data.

Ed-

Actually this is for a training course. I've developed plenty of
Data Warehouses/Data Marts. I've just got to train a bunch of staff in the
next couple weeks.

I wanted a couple of databases that contain the same type of data,
something I can create some mock business requirments from.

I looked over Food Mart, it's got fine OLAP data, but your right,
no OLTP data.

Any thoughts, now that I have cleared it up.

The Wrox Professional Series has a Data Warehousing with SQL Server book
that may have some downloadable examples and a step by step tutorial. Also,
the Northwind OLTP database is installed with SQL Server 2000 and Wrox has
a decent DTS book that works through the Northwind sample OLTP database.
