OLAP client

Hello,

is there any other client program except MS Excel that could be used as a
client for MS SQL OLAP?
Working with dimensions (selecting items etc.) is a little uncomfortable. I
have tried Microstrategy but I could not connect through OLEDB.

There are quite a few clients out there available for AS2000 to fill your
specific needs.
There are other threads in this newsgroup as well as the
microsoft.public.sqlserver.olap where this question was addressed many
times. I suggest scanning through some of these and read what others have
said.

The data warehousing alliance site under "Query, reporting, and Analysis
tools" is another good place to start:

Hi Michal,

I don't think that you can use Microstrategy at all to connect to MS
Analysis Services. Microstrategy OLAP Provider would allow you to connect
Excel, Brio or Cognos to Microstrategy Intelligence Server, but not the
other way around (MSTR front-end, to a non-MSTR OLAP server)...

There's a number of front-end tools that can work with MS Analysis Services:
ProClarity, Brio, Cognos and others big and small ones. Good reference point
for the tools that work with MS Analysis Services can be found at
