Just want to know if a Windows version of BCP exits instead of the dos
version provided with sql.

not exactly, but look at the import/export wizard or the Bulk Insert task.

Hi Dany,

There are a couple of applications that can do this for you , although I
would stress that however 'unhelpful' bcp appears to be, it gives you an
excellent understanding of why and how file imports fail, by simply trying
different ways of using it.

Anyway, take a look at 'Enhanced ISQL/w: ' at http://www.imranweb.com
I tried it once, so I could not tell you if it was any good, although the
software generally is pretty good.

Another method is to use the OLE sp's to control a bulk import/export,
but why bother when BCP works OK, is simple to maintain in code, and is
fast.
