connect mac to sql 6.5

Hello!


I have a question. If a want to connect a 'mac' to my SQL 6.5 server. witch
net libery should a use.

Please help me i had this question yesterday when i wrote the Microsoft
test for (Sql6.5 admin.)

I was posed the same question while sitting for the exam last Friday. The
only answer that is possible is AppleTalk (ADSP).

Richard,

You say AppleTalk, but this is the network protocol and not the network
library, isn't it? Which library would you use (presumably Named Pipes,
Multiprotocol or TCP/IP Sockets, all of which work over TCP/IP (on the
assumption that today's Macs speak TCP/IP for the much-hyped internet
connectivity)

Nope, I meant APPLETALK ADSP as the network library & network protocol.
I've never seen them broken out otherwise. Named Pipes, etc. are typically
Netbios options that aren't available. If your apple client spoke TCP/IP,
then sockets, etc. should work. If they have Netbios over TCP/IP then at
least in theory any of the protocols would work if they were also running
SMBs.
