Hi, I have an application built in visual fox pro9 SP1 and using SQL server
2008 as the back end. I have set up my application in XP operating system
with IE 8 and it works fine.

Now I have installed windows 7 in my PC and set up the above application
accordingly.

When downloading data from the server via virtual path into another (local)
location. I'm getting an ERROR message saying that "Connection with the
server was reset." When further investigation I have notice that the size of
the file which I'm downloading exceeds 2 Kb this error occurs and it doesn't
have any impact of the file type. Can anybody help me on this

Not that I think that I will be ever to point out what the problem is,
but it occurs to me that your post lacks some details. All of a sudden
you talk about downloading a file, but what has to do with your application
is far from clear. Nor do I understand how FoxPro and IE8 goes go together,
but that may be because that I'm an SQL Server junkie.

Since you post this to an SQL Server newsgroup, one would think that
you have deducted that the problem is with SQL Server, but how did you
arrive at that conclusion? Since you are downloading a file, and IE8
is involved, this could also be a message that relates to the connection
with the web server.

Anyway, I think you need to describe your situation more clearly, and
also include the piece of code that is failing. And you should absolutely
try to determine which server connection that is being reset.
