Maybe, but I would like to know a little more.
Which version of SQL Server are you using?
Is the linked server another SQL Server instance?
What exactly are you trying to achieve? That is, what is the rationale
for want to serialize access to the linked server?
"Your" SQL Server, what role does it play? Is this a company-wide SQL
Server? An application-specific SQL Server? I'm trying to understand
the context.
