I'm currently in the process of installing a SQL Cluster on Windows 2008 Ent
Edition using Windows Clustering. The SQL Cluster Completion Wizard failed,
of which I initiated an uninstall of the SQL 2008 Software. However, I'm now
getting the following error when the uninstall process fails to complete:
The following error has occurred:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Does anyone know what this means? And/or if theres a way to force
uninstallation of the Database Services allowing me to reinstall and set up
the cluster once again?
Any help people can give would be appreciated.
Thanks
Alternatively, create a slipstreamed install and use it.

Would installing the SP before the actual product have the same net effect?

SQL 2008 an d higher had a patchable installer. Run the SP and it leaves
behind an improved install script. You still have to patch SQL after it is
installed. Running the SP before only patches the install script.
