All,

Has somebody ever written a (fully) generic bulk load routine to load
data between datasources using a SQLCLR routine that employs the
SqlBulkCopy Class?
I'm looking to enhance the loading of our Datawarehouse with such a
routine, but most routines that I have found are written for a
specific problem.

Hi Martijn,

You can't use the context connection with SqlBulkCopy (it's not supported)
so why use SQLCLR?

Bob,

currently purely for convinience, Since I runn all ETL in process with
SQL Server from T-SQL. I know the restriction but I thought it would
still be fastest when copying datasets from one server to another, or
even within a server, if the dataset is large eneough!(i do not have
SQL server 2008, else that would be a non issue).
But an external routine could also be OK.
