Hello,
I have SQL 2000 MSDE installed on an application server and I have
applied SP4 and the security update, SQL2000-KB960082-v8.00.2055-
x86x64-ENU.exe. I then had to install the SQL 2000 tools on the
machine due to restrictions within the domain. I know that the
security update applies to the database engine and the tools
separately (you choose the options you want to update) but the second
time I ran the update, it said that it couldn't install since I didn't
have that version. How do I apply the updates to the tools after the
updates were already applied to the database engine?

Thanks in advance,
Kelly

Stupid question: did you apply SP4 after you had installed the tools?
