Accessing SAPI on Server 2008 from VB6

I understand Microsoft decided not to include the desktop speech recognizer in Windows 2008 Server. Is there any way I can get my VB6 program that includes speech recognition working? One option is to somehow install what is missing by copying it from another machine with another OS. Another is to use the server speech engine, but I am not sure VB6 can do that. Is there any solution or do I just have to buy another machine to make the app work?
