SAPI 5.4 ISpAudioPlug Example - Has anyone gotten this to work?

Hello,
I am attempting to use the SPAudioPlug in the samples to send a buffer of audio data in a BYTE array to the SR engine (have it use this data as input instead of the microphone) but I am having issues getting it to work.
My project compiles. It runs. As soon as I allow the data to go to the data to be pushed into the SpAudioPlug ::SetData function, the application freezes a few seconds after.
So.. how do I get started here with getting some help? I know anyone here is very busy and I do appreciate your time and help.
Has anyone used the ISpAudioPlug in a project and it worked?
