3 different dsps in one director

I am using VSS for dev studio 6 because I have to .
I want to have three different dsps which build to different $(outDir)
in one project folder.
It seems that when I do this, VSS does not persist my settings.
I tried to force this by manually editing my associations in the dsp/
dsw files.
Is this possible? Does it work?
How do I correctly associate the lines in a vss file to the diff tree
in
# PROP Scc_ProjName ""$/Visual Studio/Projects/foo", ESGAAAAA"
# PROP Scc_LocalPath "."
